How To Start a Blog
I made my own personalized step-by-step tutorial on how to get your own blog and website up. I even included a price comparison for hosting providers. You’ll be surprised to see how easy and cheap it can be to start your very own online business.
SiteGround has been a dream. I switched my hosting provider over to SiteGround when I began experiencing serious problems. SiteGround professionally transferred my entire website over for free in less than 24 hours. In addition to their unmatched customer service, they actually are cheaper than their leading competitor in the long run.
Blogging and designing a website is a fun and creative experience with the right tools. I had tried several free website themes and even paid money for a high-end theme only to be disappointed. Divi by Elegant Themes is a freaking game changer. Everything is customizable! You’ll never need another theme in your life… I know I won’t.
I’ve created a happy, abundant, and peaceful life for myself while raising a special needs child alone in a foreign place with very little support. Creating a happy and peaceful life required me to change my perspective on things and I know I wouldn’t be in this state of mind today if I hadn’t branched out, mentally. The Conscious Parent
by Dr. Shefali Tsbary
I’m not a huge advocate for parenting books because I believe that each child is an individual who should be raised for their individual needs. Dr. Tsbary understands this fundamental belief and opens up a world of truth about what it takes to guide a soul to realize it’s potential and the lessons we can learn as parents from our children.
The Seat of the Soul
by Gary Zukav
I first heard about Gary Zuckav a few years ago while watching Oprah. I was so moved by the truth he spoke that I purchased his book but didn’t actually read it for several years. When I did sit down to read it, my entire life changed. This book is THE book that changed my life forever. Gary Zukav is a true visionary to the human race.
The Yoga Body & Mind Handbook
by Jasmine Tarkeshi
There are a ton of yoga books out there and a lot more expensive ones for sure. The Yoga Body & Mind Handbook was perfect for the beginner I was. Even now as I advance it’s my everyday yoga resource. This is the book that got me to start my yoga journey. Jasmine Tarkeshi includes the history, principles, tons of poses, and even routines.
Autism Speaks is the leading organization in autism advocacy, research funding, and autism resources. The amount of information Autism Speaks provides to autism families is unmatched. Autism Speaks was where I was able to find the information to get an early diagnosis for my son. Autism Speaks’ 100 Day Kit helped me make sense of all information the doctor had thrown at me during his diagnosis. Autism Speaks also works to change the nation’s laws to help all individuals on the spectrum receive the care they need. They are doing a wonderful service to the autism community.
The M-CHAT-R stands for Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers Revised. The M-CHAT-R is a wonderful tool for parents to screen for early signs of autism. The M-CHAT-R does not give a diagnosis but it does give a recommendation on whether or not to get your child evaluated by a professional.
100 Day Kit
The 100 Day Kit is a free ebook and a must for parents after a child’s diagnosis. The 100 Day Kit includes an in-depth look at what autism is, how to get services for your child, a week-by-week guide, and a glossary of terms which is really helpful when trying to make sense of new terms.
find services in your area
Autism Speaks’s website allows you to search for autism services by state. They list out adult services, legal services, support networks, early intervention services, applied behavioral analysis information, therapy services, even places to get sensory friendly haircuts, and information on service animals.
