grateful for autism

I didn’t ask for autism to be a part of my mothering experience. I didn’t want it. But I got it. It’s taken me years of questioning and doubts. It’s taken me some time to come to terms with the reality of raising an autistic child.

I’m happy to say that I’ve gone through the motions of emotions and have reached the other side. I now live in deep gratitude for the path I walk with my son. Autism has given me a new perspective on life. Autism has given me so much more than it has taken away.
